First - I always knew drawing was hard. I never realized quite how hard until I tried drawing manga. I'm reassured to hear you say you need reference pics. I have NO visual imagination. I can do WORDS but not pictures. Tell me to picture a cat and I can do bits of, but not the whole thing. I reallyreally want to draw a good Sanzo/Goku kissing pic because no-one I knew who could actually draw at my time of asking was willing to do one. I think maybe that's what the creative drive is all about - making up for the disappointments of reality. I love your picture. If I knew the characters I'd probably suqee wildly. But even without knowing them, I see glorious tension and attraction. BTW I notice you're in Prague. Is Czech your first language? I ask because you seem like an English speaker. Generally there is some, er, resentment between the two nations. I guess it originated from us occupying them and killing their queen, but now the feeling is pretty much mutual as most of the politicians running the UK seem to be Scottish. I know my Dad moans about Scots a lot! Husband and I met at uni, so it was more like Cider with Rosie. ;-) |
